Clutcher io rifle buying guide: AK-47, M4 and budget choices

Start with your side and your available dollars

Choose a rifle that your side can buy, then leave room in the budget for the rest of your plan. The checked T pool includes Galil AR, AK-47 and SG 553. The CT pool includes FAMAS, M4A1-S, M4A4 and AUG. These are purchase-pool restrictions; this table does not make a separate claim about picking up a dropped weapon.

The prices below were checked against the live Loadout interface, while magazine and base-damage values come from the official client. Base damage is a configuration input, not guaranteed damage against an armoured opponent. Use the table to compare costs and ammunition, not to infer an untested one-shot kill or recoil advantage.

T-side decision: Galil or AK-47?

The Galil costs $900 less than the AK-47 and holds five more rounds. If you have exactly $2,700, buying an AK spends that entire amount; a Galil leaves $900. That is budget arithmetic, not a recommendation to buy every round. Check the rest of your equipment and decide what task the remaining money needs to cover.

The AK has the higher configured base damage, 36 versus 30, while both are automatic rifles in the client. That difference alone does not settle the comparison. Keep the same route and target conditions when trying both, and pay attention to whether you run out of loaded ammunition or interrupt a useful position to reload.

CT-side decision: FAMAS or either M4?

The FAMAS costs $1,950, which is $950 below either M4. Its 25-round magazine sits between the M4A1-S at 20 and M4A4 at 30. If buying an M4 would leave your intended equipment unaffordable, the FAMAS is a cheaper option to compare in practice rather than an automatic failure to buy the most expensive gun.

Both M4 variants cost $2,900 in this build. The M4A1-S lists base damage 38 and a configured 600 RPM; the M4A4 lists 33 and 667 RPM. The M4A4 gives ten more loaded rounds. Their configured reload times are both approximately 3.07 seconds. Choose a test based on the trade-off you notice, without turning these numbers into an unsupported best-gun label.

Plan the whole purchase, not just the primary

An illustrative CT purchase of either M4 plus a $400 defuse kit totals $3,300 before armour or grenades. With exactly $3,000, that combination is unaffordable even though the rifle alone fits. A FAMAS plus the kit totals $2,350, leaving $650 from that same balance. These examples assume you still need both items; inspect what you already have first.

AUG at $3,300 and SG 553 at $3,000 are further options within their respective sides. Their higher prices do not establish that they are better for your current task. Begin with the less expensive comparison you understand, then test a different rifle for a specific reason.

If the rifle is missing from the buy menu

Return to the main-menu Loadout and check the relevant side's rifle slots. Then check your dollar balance, location and remaining buy time in the next suitable round. A C reward or a skin shown in Inventory does not substitute for these conditions. Follow the weapon-change steps if the prepared selection and purchase menu still differ.
